The LIHEAP Program seeks to keep families experiencing low income safe in their homes by helping to ease their energy costs with a one-time payment per 12 month period of their PG&E or Alameda Municipal Power bill.

Low Income Home Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP)
A federally-funded COVID relief measure, the LIHWAP Program helps households experiencing low income in Alameda County with a one-time payment, on an account holder's water or sewage bill. This is a temporary program which ends when federal funds have been depleted or December 2023, whichever comes first.

Low Income Weatherization Assistance Program
The Weatherization Program can help you stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. By doing so, you can reduce the risk of health and safety problems. The program offers heater, water heater, and weatherization services up to every five years for families experiencing low-income who meet income guidelines. Priority is given to households with older adults, persons with disabilities and children aged under six.
