Deliver More Than a Meal - Deliver Independence, Safety, and Connection.

Our Senior Meals Program is offered at various locations within Alameda County. Volunteers will work with the site coordinator to help with the packing and distributing of senior meals during lunch service hours. We are looking for detail oriented people who can work in a timely manner and follow meticulous sanitary standards to keep our seniors safe and healthy. Volunteers are needed from 11am to 1pm, Monday thru Friday.

Do you have a desire to help seniors stay strong and independent? Spectrum Fall Prevention provides programs that keep seniors fit and fall free. Falls are the number one reason why seniors end up in emergency rooms with fatal and non-fatal injuries. You can make a difference by volunteering to help us conduct exercise classes and educational workshops that focus on improving balance, strength, and cardio vascular health. Volunteers can sign up to assist fitness instructors in delivering evidence-based exercise programs, or become certified to lead workshops that teach seniors fall prevention techniques. You can even do both!

Spectrum’s Connect Program matches volunteers with eligible senior clients who are experiencing feelings of loneliness. Once matched, pairs of volunteers and clients have regular meetings – either in person, or over the phone, providing consistent, suitable companionship to enhance the senior’s quality of life and help to improve their health and independence.
Dedicated volunteers visit every week for one hour or call on the phone for half an hour. This position calls for a person with a passion for helping others and improving their community. We are looking for people to provide consistent, suitable companionship to enhance the senior’s quality of life and improve their health and independence.

Spectrum Community Services is growing, and we need your help! As we prepare to upgrade and expand our Hayward offices, we're seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with key tasks. Whether you have expertise in audio-visual equipment to help us set up hybrid meeting capabilities, or you can lend a hand with moving furniture, computers, and cubicle walls during our office refurbishing, your support will make a big difference. Temporary workspaces will be set up during the project, with dates for manual labor opportunities coming soon in January. Join us in creating a more efficient and welcoming space for our team and the community!
